UNIT 4
Unit 4: The Sports Performer in Action

Unit 4 looks at what happens to the body when undertaking exercise. What happens in the short term (a single training session) compared to the long term (3 months +).
Knowledge of the following is essential
Musculoskeletal System (Short/Long Term)
Cardiorespiratory System (Short/Long Term)
The Energy systems used by the body to produce movement are also explored in this unit.
Aerobic System
Anaerobic Systems – ATP CP system & Glycolysis system
