CONTENT IS KING
The most important thing in all your assignment work is that you’ve presented the correct content. You need to identify the specific topics that your teacher is asking for you to explore. Your teacher will go through these with you, but if you’re still not sure, then ASK!
Please DO NOT waste time on selecting the right font, template or customising your powerpoint presentations with animations or transitions. Just present the content with a pre-configured template and ensure that you’ve hit all the assessment criteria.

UNDERSTAND THE ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
The criteria for the assignment should be pretty clear and your teacher should go through this with you to ensure you know exactly what you need to do to achieve a Pass, Merit or Distinction grade.
Generally, the Pass criteria will just ask for a basic DESCRIPTION of the information on the topic.
Merit will want a more detailed account and want you to start to EXPLAIN.
Distinction level work usually wants you to be more critical, EVALUATE or DISCUSS the content.

ASSIGNMENT DEADLINES AND RE-SUBMISSION
When you receive the assignment brief your teacher should give you a Hand in Date.
YOU NEED TO STICK TO THAT DATE!
If you want to save yourself stress, have time for all your other studies and be able to get assistance from your teacher you need to start work well in advance.
When you hand in your assignments your teacher should provide you with some feedback and then you will have limited time to make any changes.
Handing in assignments on time will make your life so much easier and will definitely have a knock-on effect with your overall time management.
